February 13, 2013 6–8 pm
Evergreen State College
Olympia, Washington
Lecture Hall 3
An expanding population of wolves across the ecologically varied landscapes of the Pacific Northwest provides an excellent case study for the value of wildlife tracking techniques and other non-invasive research methods to study and monitor large carnivore populations. David Moskowitz, author of Wolves in the Land of Salmon, and Wildlife of the Pacific Northwest, will share stories and photography from his experience in the field tracking and photographing wolves and discuss contemporary research methods and findings relating to the use of wildlife tracking in the field of wildlife science and conservation.
